October 2003 Photo Contest Winners
Halloween is such a great time for dog photo contests, and can make for some truly hilarious pictures. It was really difficult to choose the winners, this time around. We had so much fun sorting through your entries this month that we felt we had to include even more honorable mentions (48 in all) just to share with you some of the truly creative costumes and adorable puppies that were submitted!
If you submitted this month but didn't win, why not submit photos for our Holiday Photo Contest?
Grand Prize Winner
Prize: Halloween Doggy Gift Basket

Harley
Owner/Mom: Heidi, Texas
Harley's Mom says: “Harley came into my life in March and has been the center of my attention ever since. I work out of my house and having Harley around is wonderful. He keeps me company and keeps me laughing all day long. Harley enjoys playing a good game of "catch me if you can" and going for walks. His favorite foods include chicken, apples and Pop Tarts. ”
2nd Place Winner
Prize: How to Get Your Pet Into Show Business by Capt. Arthur Haggerty

Jellyby
Owner/Mom: Amanda, Massachusetts
Jellyby's Mom says: “Jellyby loves nothing more than a long day at puppy daycare, where she romps with the big dogs and learns how to be even more of a little drama queen. At home, she loves trying to balance on top of balls like a crazy circus dog. Especially if there is a promise of a greenie or cheese.”
3rd Place Winner
Prize: How to Get Your Pet Into Show Business by Capt. Arthur Haggerty

Toby
Owner/Mom: Ginger, Texas
Toby's Mom says: “When I first got Toby I felt guilty about having a job, but even on the days I would take off to be with him all he does is sleep all day! Evenings are a different story. Toby loves to fetch his toys and always treats them as live prey! Even his rawhide bones and pig ears. This Halloween when we hand out non-dog treats to the children, Toby will be wearing his bumble bee costume.”
